The Stanley Hotel

📍 Estes Park, Colorado

Perched above Estes Park since 1909, the Stanley Hotel is famous for inspiring The Shining after Stephen King stayed there in 1974.

Guests and staff have reported footsteps in empty hallways, piano music drifting through the lobby, and strange activity in the infamous Room 217.

Whether you believe in ghosts or not, the Stanley has become one of the most legendary haunted hotels in America.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at The Stanley Hotel just a few doors down from room 217. We didn’t see anything but we definitely left with questions….
